YG, “We are more worried about 2NE1’s debut than when Big Bang did”
YG speaks up the upcoming debut of their female group 2NE1 this May. YG Entertainment said in an interview on the 22nd, “We have not decided on how to have 2NE1 debut. The company is going through discussions on that currently. Mr. Yang Hyun Seok is putting a lot of emphasis and planning for 2NE1’s debut.”
“Because this is the female group that YG is debuting for a long time ever since the last female group, we can only be more prudent and careful with the planning. As compared to debuting Big Bang, we are more worried and had put in much more effort for debuting 2NE1.”
The representative added, “Right now, they are also filming their MV. It will be a surprise and shock for everyone when it is revealed. We believe all this will bring us good results.”
Meanwhile, the CM song ‘Lollipop’ featuring the collaboration of Big Bang and 2NE1 continues to excel on various music charts.

090331 2NE1 & Big Bang’s “Lollipop” Sweeps Music Charts
2NE1 and Big Bang’s “Lollipop” has been sweeping the country’s music charts for #1.
Released on March 27 to the public, it has won the top spot of #1 on music portals Dosirak, Mnet, Bugs, and Cyworld.
The “Lollipop” CM for the LG Cyon was released online on the 30th, and will spread to the public on TV on April 1. The music video is set for April 3, which is expected to draw an even bigger audience from the public.
A YG Entertainment agent said, “‘Lollipop‘ has drawn attention not only because of Big Bang, but because of the interest in the 2NE1 group members, so therefore ‘Lollipop’ has become even more popular.”
2NE1‘s music producer is the trend leader of the music industry and originally from 1TYM, Teddy, and also Big Bang’s leader and producer G-Dragon. 2NE1 will officially debut in May.

090328 Lollipop Rises Quickly on Charts
Lollipop, a song sang by 21 (To Anyone, who was known as ‘Female Bigbang’), and Big Bang was released on March 27th.
Right after its release, it was placed #1 selling song on Cyworld and Bugs Music. Also, on Mnet, Melon, and Dosirak (all the sites where you can purchase mp3s), it was placed as #2, #14 and #14 respectively, and still rising.
YG Entertainment said, ‘[Because] It is a song made for commercials, and not meant for any performances on stage, it is incredible that it has beat Son DamBi and Epik High on its day of release’. YG also added that‘Ever since 21 was revealed, there has been many number of interview requests, but they won’t be on public until their debut’. The image 21 is going for is to be ‘unique’ and ‘different’ like Big Bang.
Although they are girls, they want to be seen tough and be confident, and their music style consists of strong rap and lyrics. The producers for 21 include Teddy of 1Tym and G-Dragon. The TV commercial forLollipop will be airing starting from April 1st, and the full music video will be released on April 3rd.
